(Charlotte, NC) -- Tom Brady was intercepted in the end zone as time expired and the Panthers preserved a 24-20 win over the Patriots at Bank of America Stadium on "Monday Night Football." The play was marred with controversy as a penalty flag was thrown for what appeared to be pass interference, before officials gathered and waived the foul off. Cam Newton hit Ted Ginn Jr. for a 25-yard touchdown pass with just 59 seconds to play to give Carolina the lead. Newton finished with 209 yards passing and three TD's while rushing for 62 yards in the win. The Panthers improved to 7-and-3 with their sixth straight victory and remain one game back of the Saints for first place in the NFC South. Brady ended with 296 passing yards and a touchdown thrown to Rob Gronkowski. Stevan Ridley added 48 yards and a touchdown on the ground, but lost a fumble along the way. New England dipped to 7-and-3, but still holds a two-game lead on the Dolphins and Jets in the AFC East.
