This is the first of 3 new towers we will be getting to replace the ones that were knocked over by severe storms and winds in early August. 

WWVA Chief Engineer Jack Rees says “we are now putting the signal out through the new Tower 3, and for the local and regional listeners trying to tune us in, everything is back to normal!  The signal is now strong and crystal clear in the Ohio Valley!”  Getting the night time signal back to the East Coast and Canada is the next priority.

The erection and installation of the other 2 towers is already underway.  Both of them are already on site, and are being painted and prepped on the ground. Current projections have the entire project being completed by the end of the year.
