There is apparently no link between the recent roundup of nearly a dozen suspected al-Qaeda-linked militants in Malaysia and the disappearance of Flight 370. That's despite earlier reports over the weekend suggesting just that.
Malaysia's Inspector General of Police tells NBC News, quote "There is absolutely no connection."
Flight 370 has become one of the greatest mysteries in aviation history. The Boeing 777 took off from Kuala Lumpur nearly two months ago with 239 people on board. It was bound for Beijing but vanished from radar and never arrived.
The jetliner is believed to have gone down somewhere in the Indian Ocean.
