Cabinet secretaries in West Virginia are being prepared for a statewide government shutdown.

Calling it a "abundance of caution" memo, Governor Justice's chief of staff sent out a memo yesterday to all departments saying they should begin to prepare for the likelihood that a new budget will not be in place by July 1st.

Nick Casey's memo gave June 19th as a date that a budget would need to be in place to avoid any interruptions in state government operations.
