Hilltopper Men’s Basketball Punches 15th Straight Ticket to NCAA

Indianapolis, Ind. – NCAA Division II men's basketball's longest active streak continues as the No. 13 West Liberty University men's basketball team will make their 15th consecutive postseason appearance, matching Assumption from 1963-77 for the longest streak in division history.

The Hilltoppers will be the No. 4 seed in the Atlantic Region, and they will face No. 5 seed Millersville out of the PSAC on Friday, March 15, in the first round. The winner will then move onto the second round where they will face either the No. 1 seed and host Gannon or No. 8 Lincoln (PA) on Saturday, March 16.

Gannon will host the top half of this year's regional bracket as it will be split due to both their men's and women's programs earning the No. 1 seeds. The games will be played at the Hagerty Family Events Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.

The bottom half of the region consists of No. 2 California (PA) against No. 7 West Virginia State, and No. 3 Charleston against No. 6 Concord. The winner of the top half of the bracket will then meet the winner of the bottom half of the bracket at the highest remaining seed on Tuesday, March 19.

More information will be released this week about the upcoming regional as it becomes available.
