Keys To Avoiding Food Poisoning This Holiday Season

With the holiday season here, it's important to know about food safety.  Chris Bernstein with the Department of Agriculture says there are four important things to remember in order to avoid foodborne illnesses. 

-Keep hands and utensils clean.

-Use separate cutting boards to avoid cross contamination.

-Cook all meat to the proper temperature of 165 degrees.

- Don't let perishable foods sit out for more than two hours.
