Police are investigating the murder of a young woman on Wheeling Island.
Officials said they found Rayna Vaughan dead in her house Wednesday night, along with her unharmed child who police believe was left alone with her body for a full day.
A medical examiner said Vaughan was killed by a blow to the head.
Police believe she knew her attacker and are interviewing her neighbors and collecting surveillance footage from the area.
