The Marshall County Historical Society will be hosting a free event, a World War II History Day, on Saturday, September 17 at the Cockayne Farmstead in Glen Dale that I was hoping you could help advertise. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The day will feature World War II vehicles, a World War II exhibit of local artifacts, a schedule of speakers on a variety of military and home front topics, a presentation by WV History Alive! Interpreter Becky Park as Col. Ruby Bradley, activities for kids, meet-and-greet local veterans, food by the Chimney Corners Cafe and The Guest House, a Rosie the Riveter Look-alike contest, music by the Eli Lambie Jazz Trio and the Shadyside Community Band, and more.
