Foster Hope Ohio Valley is offering a murder mystery dinner fundraiser on Wednesday, January 22 at The Main Street Barrel House, 137 East Main Street, Barnesville, OH. The murder occurs at the 2025 Silver Screen Awards Festival and it’s up to the audience to discover “who done it?” This star-studded cast includes somewhat familiar actors, actresses, directors, and screenwriters. The Barnesville High School theater department, along with other volunteers, will participate in the dazzling event. Tickets are $40 each for a single attendee or $35 each for a couple. Purchases can be made through a link on Foster Hope Ohio Valley’s Facebook page or by emailing FosterHopeOV@gmail.com. Prizes will be awarded. A silent auction will also take place. Dinner includes appetizers, main course buffet, and dessert. A cash bar will also be available. All attendees are encouraged, but not required, to use this evening as an excuse to get all dolled up and dress in their best red-carpet attire! Please plan to arrive between 5:00 pm and 5:45 pm. The event will start promptly at 6:00 pm. Foster Hope, a 501c3, was founded in 2019 by Amanda Hession and Anna Sells, both of Barnesville, to provide comfort to Ohio Valley children as they transition into foster care through the distribution of backpacks or diaper bags filled with basic hygiene and comfort items. They are distributed through the social services agencies for 13 counties in Ohio and West Virginia. This year they will have donated over 500 backpacks through volunteer effort.
