Florida Senator Bill Nelson's campaign is suing to extend the deadline for the state's midterm election recount. The Democrat's lawyers claim election officials won't be able to meet a Thursday afternoon deadline to complete the recount. A state judge has already extended the deadline in Palm Beach County to November 20th in some races. Nelson's opponent, Republican Governor Rick Scott, has a lead of about 12,500 votes over Nelson. If the machine-recount returns a vote count with less than a 1/4 of 1% difference then a hand-recount will take place. Scott's current lead is 0.15%.
