FEMA COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory

Wheeling, WV: Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory today announced collaboration with FEMA COVID – 19 Funeral Assistance program. This coordination will provide financial assistance to individuals who incurred COVID-19-related funeral expenses after January 20, 2020.

“We strive to provide superior funeral service and assistance to the families that we serve,” says Gene Fahey, Vice President at Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory. “Helping them navigate this process is one more way we can help families during these unprecedented times.”

Some of the requirements for eligibility include:

  • ·Certified death certificate indicating attributed to Covid-19
  • ·Applicant must be person who incurred funeral expense
  • ·Statement of funeral goods & services
  • ·Proof of funds used toward funeral expenses

Our funeral directors and staff will be researching our records to identify eligible families and contacting them to help them through this process.
