Sheriff's deputy attacked by pit bull in Belmont County

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio —A Belmont County sheriff's deputy was attacked by a pit bull Saturday while responding to a call on Jug Run Road in Maynard.

The sheriff's office confirmed the deputy was transported to the hospital by Barton EMS where they were treated and released.
