Plan in works to help develop downtown Follansbee
FOLLANSBEE, W.Va. —Mayor David Velegol hosted an open forum Monday evening where he presented a plan to redevelop downtown Follansbee.
"I really thought the meeting went well,” he said. “There was a lot of positives and the concerns were expressed, which I had expected. But the overwhelming to me was the positives."
The mayor presenting the design for the new city plaza project to be developed behind the exiting city building.
The new area put together with C.T. Consultants will include a patio area with picnic tables and a waterfall, along with an arch at the entrance with an F on top. All in an effort, supporters of the plan say, to spur economic development downtown. Read More
