The Salvation Army will be hosting a Red Kettle Kick-Off event at Cabela's Highlands Facility on Saturday November 13th at 11am.
At this event, The Salvation Army will be announcing their Christmas Chair family! The family is a very well-known family in the Northern Panhandle.
The Salvation Army Brass Band will be playing, and coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts will be available to the public.
The Salvation Army hopes to raise $70,000 in Red Kettle donations this holiday season. With these donations, The Salvation Army is expecting to surpass the assistance they provided in 2020. In 2020 The Salvation Army’s Case Work office provided food, utility, and clothing assistance to approximately 7,000 people. The Salvation Army provided lodging to 1,200 men in the Emergency Shelter and assisted 200 individuals with their warming shelter during the winter months.
The Salvation Army provided food baskets to 2,700 people during Thanksgiving and Christmas, 8,340 new coats and toys were opened by Children in Ohio, Marshall, Tyler, and Wetzel counties on Christmas morning!
