Large Hydrocarbon Reserve Located In New Mexico

The U.S. Geological Survey confirms the presence of considerable oil and gas reserves in the southeastern part of New Mexico near Artesia.  Yesterday, the USGS said the Permian Basin reserves have the potential to produce billions of barrels of oil and billions of cubic feet of natural gas.  New Mexico Oil and Gas Association head Ryan Flynn says the discovery makes the area in New Mexico and west Texas one of the most important in the world for hydrocarbon production.
